On Saturday, October 13th something happened in Lincoln, Nebraska that has not happened in almost 50 years. A 911 call was made to the Lincoln Police Department and then forwarded onto the Athletic Department. What you are about to read is the actual transcript of the 911 call:
911 Operator: 911 Operator, how can I help you?
Caller: Yes, I am being beaten…badly…sob, sob, sob
911 Operator: What is your name Ma’am?
Caller: The Nebraska Football Program
911 Operator: Please hold.
Nebraska Athletics Department (NAD): Nebraska Athletic Department, how can I help you?
Caller: I’m being beaten in my own home, and it hurts…
NAD: Who is beating you ma’am?
Caller: A Cowboy.
NAD: Ok, We will send help right away
Caller: Who are you going to send?
NAD: Steve Pederson!
Caller: NO!!!!, He’s already BLEEPED me in the BLEEP!
